A gluten-free APP

Hot off the press this week is news of a Gluten Free APP developed by the folks at Live Gluten Free http://www.liveglutenfree.co.uk and now available for iPhones and iPad users like myself. The Android App was only released at the end of May so it’s great to be able to download it so soon and all for free as well!

The App shows you gluten free friendly places to eat and stay in you area or a location of your choice.  It also has a host of gluten free recipes and products.  I’ve only just downloaded it so need to play with it a bit more to give a full verdict but my first impressions are it looks good,  is easy to use & does what it says it will.

I’ll do a full report back once I’ve tried and tested it fully & would love to hear anyone else thoughts on the App.  Have you tried it yet?

A piece of testing that I have carried out very thoroughly is the Cherry Bakewells I  recently spotted at Costa’s.  I had an eager assistant in this very onerous task who managed to scoff one of the Bakewells before I had a chance to photograph both of them!  The Bakewells are very small but there are 2 in the packet so about right for a quick snack with a well earned coffee break.  The pastry is good and there’s a lovely almondy taste so all in all very authentic for a Cherry Bakewell. We gave it a GF&G score of 9/10.

Well done Costa!  But please could we have some gluten free sandwiches too?
